U1_What is architecture?

In this unit we have learned the different conceptions of architecture throughout history and also some of the multiple conceptions of today.
To do so, we have made the journey through thirteen important architects; Marcus Vitruvius Pollio, Jean-Nicolas-Luis Durand, William Morris, Adolf Loos, Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris (Le Corbusier), Louis Kahn, Carlos Scarpa, Mathias Goeritz, Paul Rudolph, Otl Aicher, Juan Calduch Cervera and finally Rem Koolhaas.

Of all these answers to «what is architecture?» I identify above all with those of Le Corbusier and Mathias Goeritz;

«Architecture is the starting point for anyone who wants to take humanity towards a
better future «. Le Corbusier.
